Naloxone Training in Ontario

Did you know that as of June 1, 2023 all workplaces in Ontario that are aware of a risk of worker overdose in their workplace is required under an amendment to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) to have a naloxone kit available in the workplace.

We have been fielding a lot of questions related to this requirement, and if employers need to send two staff to a naloxone training program. These training sessions are being made available to workplaces that meet the requirements for a total of 2 workers per workplace.

Superior EMS Has You Covered!

Every First Aid and CPR Course @ Superior EMS since 2015 has provided participants with naloxone training. There is no need to take a seperate course to meet the requirements of OHSA, if you have a current Superior EMS First Aid Certificate you already meet the requirements.

Naloxone kits are available through most pharmacies in town!
