The leadership team at Superior EMS is responsible for ensuring that our programs and services are being delivered to the highest standards.

Operations Supervisor

The operations supervisor is the ​​​​command officer in charge of field operations for the given shift.  The supervisor is responsible for all field operations during the shift, and this is the only visble rank on an operations uniform regardless of the individuals actual rank.

The superintendents are responsible for a number of supervisory responsilibites ranging from field supervision to administrative and professional standards duties.

Commander - EMS

The Commander of EMS Operations is responsible for the management and supervision of the EMS division. The commander works directly with event organizers to coordinate medical coverage, and directly supervises and manages the EMS crews. The commander of EMS works directly with the commander of fire/rescue to ensure that proper safety coverage is provided at community events.

Commander - Fire/Rescue

The Commander-Fire/Rescue is responsible for the management and supervision of our fire/rescue operations. The Commander works directly with the event organizers and the Commander of EMS operations to provide comprehensive risk analysis, and planning of fire/rescue coverage for the events to ensure your event participants and spectators are provided with the best quality fire/rescue services possible.

Deputy Chief

The deputy chief  is responsible for the management and supervision of the commanders who operate the event services division. The deputy chief works directly with the event organizers to provide comprehensive risk analysis, and planning of medical coverage for the events to ensure your event participants and spectators are provided with the best quality of care possible.​

The deputy chief is also responsible for quality assurance, our specialized operations units, staff training and development and direct crew supervision as required.

Assistant Chief

The Assistant Chief is responsible for the administration, management and operation of the company.  This is accomplished by the oversight of the deputy chiefs, commanders, and superintendents in the various operations divisions. ​​​​

The deputy chief is also responsible for quality assurance, our specialized operations units, staff training and development and direct crew supervision as required.

Chief of Emergency Services

The Chief is the senior most responsible officer of the command team.  They oversee all operational and administration functions through the supervision of the command team. ​

Medical Director

The medical director is responsible for the implementation and oversight of our medical oversight program.  This program allows for our staff to perform controlled acts, and ensures patient care standards are adhered to.  ​

During events, members of our command team who are working as crew members will be identified by their certification markers, and not by their ranks.  The only person on a shift to wear a rank is the ​​​Operations Supervisor to provide a clear indicator of the officer-in-charge.   Officers in attendance not working as crew members will be identifiable by their rank markings and a white shirt. 

Emergency & Health Training Institute

Program Director

The program director is responsible for ensuring the highest quality program delivery in our training institute.  This includes program development, and operational oversight.  

 

Professional Standards

The professional standards for the training institute are now under the direction of our superintendent of professional standards and the program director.
